We offer a number of services at ProTec including desktop and server support, backup solutions, virus removal, network design and deployment, security reviews, security testing, hardware installation (including low-voltage cabling in your facility), email and website hosting, custom system integration, and custom software development for your home or business. We have the experience and can provide the same level of service that large company IT departments would provide.

We believe that adding value to your bottom line is our number one goal. Many customers do not truly understand their computer environment, and most are afraid of being overcharged by an IT consultant or IT services company. We strive to be your partner in making your business successful. We do this by quoting you accurate time for our work. We cap hours so that you are not hit with unexpected charges, even if it means we work longer than we originally estimated. We will strive to collect accurate requirements and specifications to ensure you receive the most accurate quote possible. ProTec has the experience that many local computer shops and big chains lack. We have worked for companies of all sizes in both the corporate and government world, designing and protecting multi-million dollar systems, and we believe that you deserve the same level of support.

Hourly Rates

• Initial consultation, questions, and inquiries: FREE 30-minute session
• Phone and remote support: $125/hour
• On-site support: $150/hour (on-site visits may be subject to an additional per-visit charge if outside of our service areas -- please ask for details)
• Emergency support: $200/hour (availability is limited -- for after-hour work 6pm to 6am or weekend work that needs to be performed within 2 hours)
• Custom software or systems engineering: $175/hour (please contact us for details)

Service Plans

In addition to the hourly rates, we offer monthly plans that ensure you have IT support when needed at a discounted rate. With a minimum 6 month commitment, you can be assured that you are not hit with surprise bills and that your system is maintained to keep everything running correctly. Service plans always include security fixes, virus updates, backup and data retention and general training on how to use your system. Enjoy the benefits of a full time IT staff without paying the high cost of hiring an employee. Under a service plan, the only extra charges you pay are for hours that exceed a percentage of the monthly maximum, depending on the plan. Plans vary depending on the number of systems supported and the risks associated with certain network and computer configurations. Prices per month typically range from $250 - $2,500 for small businesses.

Equipment and Hardware

We are in the business of providing service; we will research the hardware you need and find you the best deals possible. We include minor equipment, such as patch cables, connectors and adapters in our normal hourly rate. We will work with you to ensure you have the best available hardware that fits in your budget.
