“To lift up the hands in prayer gives God glory,
but a man with a dungfork in his hand,
a woman with a slop pail,
give Him glory
God is so great that all things give Him glory – if you mean that they should.”
I’ve been asking God, how to commune with Him as much as I need to, despite all that has to be done each day. And I think this is the answer, isn’t it? We don’t commune despite of or outside of “normal” life. . . . . we commune in the midst.
We practice His Presence every moment of every day.
There is nothing more essential to a fruitful, joyful, life than learning to host the Presence of God well.
With Him we can do all things.
Without him even our best work is meaningless.
